Professor Parviz Kordavani, holder of the first-class badge of knowledge and enduring figure, known as the "father of Iranian desertology", died at the age of 90 yesterday.
This great scientist of Iran and the world was born in 1931 in Garmsar near Tehran, the capital of Iran.
In 1969, he became the director general of the Office of Educational Studies at the University of Tehran. He was also the founder and head of the Desert and Desert Research Center of Iran.
May his soul be happy and his path be filled by the students and teachers he trained.
